In an effort to keep FieldNote secure and updated with the latest functionality possible, we will periodically raise the minimum iOS version of the app. Effective immediately, if there is a change to the minimum iOS version, a “minimum version” line item will be included/highlighted in the “FieldNote Update” communication. Our goal for FieldNote’s iOS minimum standard going forward will be to stay one version behind the currently released iOS version (industry standard).
With iOS 17 coming out this fall, we are planning to bump up the minimum iOS version for FieldNote to iOS 16 by Sunday, October 15th. We will send out a communication with a reminder prior to that release date.
Will FieldNote continue to work on my tablet if I have not yet updated my iOS to the minimum version?
The app should continue to work, however, you will not be able to get the latest version of FieldNote until your iOS version is at the minimum or greater. We cannot guarantee that all app functionalities will continue to work properly if the app version gets too far behind.
Can I reinstall FieldNote if my iOS version is less than the minimum?
Yes, you can reinstall the app as needed. The FieldNote version that will be installed will be the last version that was published to the App Store that supports your current iOS.
